Miss Olivia had many firsts this weekend. She flew the friendly skies to Pittsburgh for my brother-in-law's sister's wedding. Liv was absolutely perfect the entire flight-- she's quite the traveler.
It was also Olivia's first wedding. She was lucky enough to be held by the beautiful bride and even had her name on a table card- "Miss Olivia Elsener." All of Olivia's Giles cousins were part of the wedding and totally precious in their formal wear. It was a stunning event and we were thrilled to be included. I can't quite believe that one day my sweet baby girl will get married herself, but just the thought of it makes me get a little teary eyed.

New York Besties
We were lucky enough to have our besties Caitlin and Dave visit this weekend from New York city to meet Olivia for the first time. The weekend was delightful, from the Cubs game to BBQs to dinners out on the town. Liv is already incredibly loved by the Pearsons and we cannot wait to visit them in New York this fall!
Ten Weeks Old!
Olivia celebrated turning ten weeks old by attending her first crosstown classic...Cubs vs. White Sox. Instead of a hot dog and beers, she opted for milk. Her Cubbies didn't win, but she still enjoyed every minute of the game. We thought she would snooze through the game in the baby carrier, but she clearly wanted to see the game and be held.

Hello God...It's Me, Olivia...
Yesterday our baby girl became the newest member of the Catholic Church. For her baptism, Olivia was surrounded by all the people who love her...grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The day was special for many reasons. Olivia wore the same beautiful baptism gown that her cousin Eleanor wore to her baptism (and Ellie happens to be my god daughter). Aren't the ribbons that hang from the back just precious?
We had Liv's name and birthdate embroidered onto the lining of the dress. Hopefully there will be more little girls in the future who wear this dress!
Olivia's godparents are already showering her with love. My brother Michael, fondly known as Uncle Bobo, is her godfather.
Sam's sister Alyce is her godmother who came all the way from DC (32 weeks pregnant)!
Father Ed Salmon, the same priest who married us and said my dad's funeral, lead the ceremony. He holds a special place in our hearts, so I loved that he was able to baptize Olivia Maeve.
Liv was perfect during the ceremony and didn't even cry when the water was poured over her head.
We had the same cake made from Bittersweet that we had at our wedding...yummy...cake with creme brulee filling and fresh raspberries with vanilla buttercream.
Overall, it was a perfect day for our newly formed family.

Shots and Stats
Brave Olivia got her shots today at her two month appointment. It was a little traumatic for both of us when the shots happened, but we've both recovered (but it was the saddest cry I've heard from Liv yet). Look at her little boo-boo on her thigh.
But as you can see, Liv is a champ and still in good spirits. Her new stats are:
11 pounds, 24 inches!

Two Months Old!!
Our sweet baby girl is already two months old. The time has flown by, probably because every day is filled with joy and happiness. Liv's official check-up is on Friday. I will keep you posted with her new stats!!
At two months, Olivia smiles, coos, grunts, grabs onto things, and checks out the world around her constantly. I keep trying to get her to laugh, but apparently I haven't done anything funny enough yet.
