This is what I saw when I walked into Olivia's room when she was suppose to be napping...

Instead of napping, she decided to stand in her crib. Not good. I predict there will be a crib tent in her future.

Six Month Photo Shoot!

We had some pictures taken of Olivia in honor of her six months of life. Her expressions really are priceless! I think they turned out really cute.

Happy Napper

(Knocking on wood) We've been pretty lucky that sweet Olivia is a good sleeper. She's generally sleeping 12 hours through the night, plus two solid naps each day. And when she does wake-up, she usually kicks around in the crib playing. Once you get her, she couldn't be a happier baby.
This is what I got after her morning nap today. Adorable.

Stairs

Now that Olivia is on the move, she's quickly discovering all sorts of exciting things around the house. Today she found the stairs and used them to practice her standing. I am sure it won't take long for her to try to climb them.
Next purchase...baby gate for the bottom of the stairs!

Moving On Up!

Olivia has quickly gone from this...

...to this! She's trying to pull herself up on anything she can get a good grip on. She definitely isn't too sturdy, but she's excited to view the world from a standing perspective.

Sad Face

Is it wrong that these pictures make me laugh? Such sad face for no reason! Her cousins are just trying to give her some love.

And She's Off!

Olivia is officially on the go! It's almost as if she knows the few things that aren't for her-- like the dog food, the computer cord or the bathroom trash can-- because she heads straight for them with determination. And now she's already starting to pull herself up on things as well. Next stop, standing!

Liv's hair is slowly growing and definitely crazy looking post bath. Here is her version of a little mohawk!

Florence

Every year my roommates from when I studied abroad get together for a weekend of good food, good wine and good gossip. So fun to see the girls and catch-up! Olivia was thrilled to get to meet them all in person too.

Dog Party

Last weekend we babysat Kate Pero and she was a delightful (yet energetic) houseguest. Olivia was totally fascinated by having another dog in the house. We also celebrated Penny's 4th birthday a little early with a trip to the dog park with her buddies.

Getting the Hang of it...

Olivia is getting the whole crawling thing down now that she's figured out how to move her hands. And to get her moving, all you have to do is put something she shouldn't have in front of her like coffee! I love her determination and the pike move she does to get going. The grunts are pretty cute too.

Game Face

Every Friday night Olivia likes to wear her Michigan pajamas to get into the mood for college football. She's ready for Michigan to beat MSU (and collect her winnings from the bet with Grandpa!)

Olivia started some forward crawling for the first time last night! It's the first time she's figured out how to move her hands to get her body moving in the right direction. Too bad she was going for Penny's food-- guess we need to start the baby proofing!

Sunday we spent the morning at Dinges Farm up in Three Oaks, MI. It was a delightful fall morning filled with pumpkins, hay rides and farm animals. I love fall!
