It's hard to believe, but Graham is no longer a newborn! Our little guy's personality is starting to shine through with his smiles, coos, and chuckles. Unlike his sister who use to smile to get your attention, Graham makes you work for his smiles. He can have very serious and inquisitive expressions as he takes in his surroundings. He loves batting toys and switching them between his hands. He loves to try to sit-up, whether in the bumbo seat or while you are holding him. He definitely finds Liv amusing and likes to watch her romp around the house. It's already fun to see how unique and different his personality is from Olivia's. I think they are going to be good counterparts to one another. We are still working on sleeping longer stretches overnight and hoping to get on a tentative napping schedule over the next month or so. Crazy to think in over a month he can start eating rice cereal. These baby days of his are flying by!

Ellie's 8th Birthday and First Communion
Sweet Ellie celebrated both her 8th birthday and first communion this weekend.
As both her aunt and godmother, she holds a special place in my heart. I have loved being there for all of her big events in life so far. It occurred to me that she has also been a part of some major events in my life like my wedding and kids being born. See below for my nostalgic look down memory lane.
Happy happiest birthday Ellie. We love you!

Prima Ballerina
Olivia started ballet classes today! Adorable. With her love of music and dancing, I had a hunch she would love it and she totally did. It was her first class experience all on her own-- without mama. She did great and followed all of her teacher's instructions. I was so proud of her (literally had a few tears in my eyes.) Occasionally she would yell "Hi Mama" through the glass window, but otherwise was completely independent and a big girl doing it all by herself.

31
As I turn 31, I can't help but just feel like I turned 30 and the last year flew by. I guess it's true that time flies when you are having fun! But obviously things have changed considering sweet Graham is now part of our lives. As I face another year ahead of me, I cannot help but think how content and happy I am with where my life is. Incredible husband, adorable children, supportive family, roomy house, delightful friends. Not much more I could really ask for. My goals for the year are to enjoy each and every moment, especially this time when the kids are little. I think there is something to being present, even if the moment is just another diaper change or bath. It's easy to get distracted by the same daily tasks, but then you miss the magical moments that are actually happening. So here's to another wonderful year and soaking up each and every day of it!
(Somebody looks a little nervous here...)
