19 Months Old!

Graham is 19 months old and seeming more and more little boyish on a daily basis. He's entered a very entertaining stage where he likes to follow commands and repeat sounds, which has our whole house laughing quite often.

Likes: playing cars and trains, making animal noises (lions, snakes, elephants are some of his best), popsicles, reading books, playing pretend with Liv, brushing his teeth and hair, doing puzzles, watching shows

Dislikes: being told no, drinking milk from anything other than a bottle, being removed from situations when playing rough, staying buckled in the stroller when Liv is not in it with him

We love you Bubba-boy!

Last Little Long Lake Weekend

We had a fantastic weekend with the Powers trio of swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking, grilling and relaxing.  It included one person walking into a screened door, one little one falling into the lake and being rescued and one person catching a giant fish.

(While it appears that Sam caught this giant bass, it was really Larry's masterful and determined fishing.)

Chicago Parent Craft Columnist!

I am super excited to be the new craft columnist for Chicago Parent's monthly magazine! Hooray! It feels like my calling considering I love crafting anyways and do it on a weekly basis with Liv.  My predecessor (also known as my beautiful and talented sister) has set the bar high having done the column for the past few years, but I am determined to come up with new and fun ideas to share.
