Little Lefty

It's become clear in recent weeks that Liv is definitely a lefty when it comes to writing.  She gets to be in the exclusive left-handed club with Papa, Aunt Cate and Brendan.  Growing up, my dad always made being a lefty seem so special and that they were extra creative. I know he would impart the same special feeling down to our Livie too.
She's also become obsessed with her workbook that Daddy gave her for Valentine's Day.  Every day she diligently works her way through writing her letters, numbers, shapes, colors, matching, etc.  We're very impressed with her focus and ability to understand the directions and follow through.

New Ice Cream Shop

Back in the fall, Larry informed us that he was closing our local Oberweis ice cream store that would eventually be replaced with a Potbelly. Liv took the closing very hard. Out of the blue she would talk about how sad she was that the store was closed and often made "bad" pictures for Larry for closing the store.  Luckily, the new Potbelly opened this week and we're able to get milkshakes locally once again! (And good news for this pregnant lady who loves craves milkshakes is that there is an Oberweis in Oak Park.)

Halfway

Somehow I'm already at the 20 week point of this pregnancy, even though it doesn't quite feel like it's been that long. The distraction of the selling/moving process has kept my mind busy without too much free time to daydream about this little fella just yet. I don't even have a shortlist of names for him- so very unlike me! But he looks great and is growing right on track. His siblings are getting very excited for him and give him kisses on my belly daily. Liv has decided his name is "Matthew," while Graham calls his "Bubby." I doubt either will be the winner in the end.

Under Contract!

After several stressful months and being listed two separate times, we are officially under contract (and I'm thrilled about it). Moving in seven weeks to my mom's empty house in River Forest to live until we find a good fit for our family. Lots to do, but we're looking forward to the changes and summer in the burbs.

Fish

We started swim lessons again at Goldfish today-- this time totally independently without mom getting into the water (hooray!). This is the first class Graham has taken on his own and nothing phased him as he loved every minute of class and did a great job listening. I was a proud mama, who also enjoyed the 30 minutes sitting alone outside of the water. Liv's teacher also reported she is "no longer swimming like a wet noodle" like last session, so progress!
