Little Writer
Graham is following in his big sister's footsteps with his interest in writing words. I am pretty impressed with him and how he knows how to write all the letters from memory.

Buds
Graham and Emmett are about one year apart, but it's getting to where age doesn't matter and they love playing together. They love getting to see each other now at First United too.

14 Months Old
Q is 14 months old and really getting quite his own personality and opinions these days. I fondly refer to him as my "little monster" because since he's started walking, he's crazy. He's into everything, perfecting a high-pitched scream, attempting to throw his body out of your arms, whining to be held and then shoving to be put down, and just overall nuts. I forgot how this age can be exhausting but have been quickly reminded by my Quinnie. Good thing he's so darn cute.
Favorite book: Brown Bear, Brown Bear; Quack Quack; Kiss Good Night
Favorite food: Peaches, cereal bars, apples, crushers
Words: Mama, Dada
Hobbies: Trying to ride a scooter, throwing balls, swinging hockey sticks
Teeth: 8 (4 top, 4 bottom)

Seizure Boy
Our poor Grahamie had his second febrile seizure yesterday. I had hoped it would have just been that single incident when he was 15 months old, but knew he is now prone to have more. Apparently he will grow out of these by age six and obviously there are worse things that could happen so I am just grateful he is okay. A quick visit from the paramedics confirmed he was alright.
After a long nap, he woke up and didn't seem to fully remember what happened. He did say, "so does this mean I can't have peanuts anymore?" So clearly he is confused by other family medical emergencies that have recently occurred. He was excited about the fire hat the paramedics left for him.

Block Party Virgins
We all had our first official block party today on the 1200 block of Euclid. Liv and Graham had the times of their lives - bounce house with a water slide, riding bikes in the street, cookie decorating, piñata, dancing, water balloon fights, hula hoops, and finishing with a movie on front lawn. And now we're all exhausted. O and G seem like they have hangovers this morning.

Routine
With September arrives the return of a schedule and routines. We had a great summer, but I am glad for fall to arrive and not always have three kids with me at the grocery store. With just 1-2 weeks of school so far, my eager learners are already displaying new skills. Graham is now able to write all the letters in his name and is starting to try writing other names in our family. Livie has been constantly writing down and solving math equations, singing songs in Spanish, and teaching me about compound words. School is great. I love seeing them soak up new things like sponges.
And I am loving that the new routine involves a little more quiet and time to use my brain while the boys are napping during the day.
