Hibachi!

To finish Graham's 6th birthday celebration, we went to New Star to try their hibachi and it was a total success! You walk in and they let each kid pick a knock-off Lego set...um, amazing.  Then the cooking is totally entertaining with flames, tricks and knife tricks.  Plus my good eaters (O and G) tried shrimp, fried rice and ate the chicken.
Eating ice cream with chop sticks.

SIX!

G has been counting down the days until his big sixth birthday, even though we have technically been celebrating for weeks. Graham is such a wonderful kid and makes Sam and I incredibly proud of the person he is. Graham is thoughtful, compassionate, sensitive, tough, tender and sincere. He's a great friend and always includes others. His love for sports still runs strong and it's safe to say that his mom and dad are looking forward to his first t-ball season.  He's excelling at school, always trying his hardest, and expanding his reading, math, and writing skills each week.  It's fun to have him read us books now each night.  Graham is an incredible brother, both to his "little bro" who he has immense patience with and his sister who he watches out for and considers one of his best friends. Like I said, he really is just a great kid and we feel lucky to be his parents.  Happy 6th birthday G!  We love every ounce of you!
After reminiscing over G's yearly books, it was present time! G got a big bucket full of baseballs, tape for his bat, a Bow Net to practice hitting and catching with, and a huge Ninjago Lego set. Quinn gave him a new Bulls shirt and Livie picked out two Piggy & Gerald books for him.
And then I stole the big kids from school and snuck out for a birthday lunch at Jimmy John's and a treat at Courageous bakery.

Social Life

Quinn's social life is bumping.  He's attending his third birthday party in two weekends. So many friends, such little time.

Bday Dinner!

G wanted to invite over the Powers and Lamb families to celebrate his birthday with his favorite, meatballs and spaghetti and an oreo ice cream cake.  Happy almost six G!
And this guy discovered Sprite for the first time.
