Working on our Summer Bucket List and finally got around to doing our tie dye t-shirts when we had some buddies over.  Think they turned out pretty good for our first try!

Chasing Monsters with Livie

It was Olivia's turn this weekend with the expert fishing luck.  Saturday she hooked a small fish to use as bait, then went after one of the two huge bass that linger around our dock.  It took the bait and then there was a tid bit of a sibling quarrel as Q ripped the pole from his sister and erupted into tantrum tears.  Sam managed to reel it in, but it got away right before he was able to pull him out.  Liv was quite upset to have missed out on her own monster fish - listen as her "supportive" brother Graham declares that his catch last weekend was bigger.

So Sunday, my girl was back at it. Livie had caught a small bluegill and as she was reeling that little guy in, the this huge bass ate her bluegill and she was able to hook his as well.  Go fisher girl!

Lake Quickie

Dad passed the Series 7!  We are so proud of him.  One down.  Two to go!  We relaxed with a quick weekend trip at Little Long Lake before he launched into studying for the Series 63.  It was a little cooler, so we spent more time catching fish out of the lake than actually going in it ourselves.

Go Cubs Go!

We finished Q's birthday with a trip to Wrigley Field as a family to cheer on the Chicago Cubs.  It was a rough start for the Cubbies when the first inning was 5-0 and they never came back.  But it was a fun adventure. I think it should become a yearly tradition for Quinn's birthday. ⚾

Happy 4th Birthday Quinnie!

The day started with presents (watch from Mama, mitt from Dad, tennis racket from G and Legos from Livie) and pancakes from Dad.  Then he actually got to have a "school" birthday celebration at FUNS Sprout Camp where he brought popsicles for his all-boy class.  Jimmy John's for lunch, followed by a trip to the pool, made it a fun day for our Q.
