Surgery

Just because living through construction while being pregnant wasn't exciting enough-- Sam had back surgery today.  Everything went well and he was home by noon to rest. Fingers crossed his pain is gone as he faces a six week recovery to heal completely (and ultimately be able to hold an 8-lb baby by February :)

The kids made him a get well poster and I particularly loved the boys drawings of our family.

Go LA Galaxy!

For probably the only time, Q and G are on the same soccer team. Both boys had goals tonight and are loving the community indoor league.

Happy 1st Birthday Millie

Mildred Louise Elsener is officially 1 years old and still full of puppy energy.  Millie is mostly well behaved, except for her jumping on strangers both in our home and around the neighborhood. She is taking full advantage of the construction which is allowing her access to the second floor.  She's taken a liking to looking out all the windows, whether from one of the kids beds or our bedroom radiator.

Go Pacers!

Wide Open!

The kitchen progress is coming along....the walls are totally down and open, electric and plumbing is roughed in, framing is done.

Visions of the New Kitchen

Here are the drawings of what the new kitchen will roughly look like:

Adios Ugly Kitchen!

Tomorrow is DEMO day!!! Last chance to get your fill of this ugly kitchen that is rapidly falling apart. I will NOT miss this tile or the cheap counters.  Grateful that this kitchen has helped feed our family for the past four years, but ready for the facelift that is coming!
