Six Months Old!

Happy 1/2 year birthday to my baby girl! I cannot believe that six months have already gone by since Olivia entered our lives, but I have enjoyed every minute of being her mommy.

At six months, Olivia is quite an entertaining little one and her personality shines through. She smiles the majority of the day-- and thinks it's hysterical to stick out her tongue. She has mastered the art of sitting on her own, and just this weekend figured out how to get from sitting to her crawling position. Crawling is definitely on the horizon and I think once she starts moving, she won't stop. Her hair is starting to get a little thicker at the top-- maybe bows will be in the near future! She can independently play and amuse herself with toys, or even just watching what's happening around her. I can't wait to see what the next six months brings for Liv!

Bathing Beauty

After a delicious dinner of apples, sweet potato and rice cereal...

Olivia decided to work up a sweat before bathtime...

Then it was time for a bath with her fun new toys...

Fresh, clean and happy baby!

Creeping

Olivia is definitely creeping and close to crawling. She can scoot and creep herself along to get what she wants. As soon as she figures out how to move her arms at the same time, she'll be on the go! Good thing we're getting a gate installed in the next two weeks.

Petting

Olivia is way interested in Penny these days and has started to try to pet her. Sweet Penny seems a bit nervous, but lets Liv tug and pull because it's all out of love.

The Portrait of a Soon-to-be Crawler

Miss Olivia is seriously on the move and we think maybe a few weeks from officially crawling. She's mastered pushing herself up on her hands and knees and has started to rock back and forth. There is also a downward dog move that helps inch her forward.

Solo Sitting

Olivia can officially sit up all by herself, for quite an extended period of time. Not only can she sit up, but she can play while sitting. She's very proud of herself (as are her parents).
