Highlight of the weekend: We discovered a bird's nest in the canopy of the pontoon boat.
Oddly, we noticed two birds lingering around the end of the dock. Then when we returned from a boat ride, we realized why they were flying around panicked when we noticed a nest in the nook of the canopy. Not exactly the best spot for a nest-- we are sure the mama bird was pissed at the daddy bird for picking such a bad spot that allowed their baby eggs to be kidnapped! Sam thinks he saw five eggs in there, so we're letting nature be and waiting to see what happens between now and when we go back up in two weeks! (Grandma and Pop-Pop-- monitor the situation for us!!)
