Olivia is definitely developing an interest in her doggy sister Penny. I am not sure the feelings are mutual...

First Meal

Olivia's first meal of rice cereal was a complete success. She literally tried to lick the bowl and spoon when it was all gone. (And then for the first time in weeks, Olivia slept through the night-- hooray to rice cereal!)

Dog Tired

For our weekend at the lake, we had a dog party. Penny's best friends, Simon and Kate, played the entire weekend-- chase, swimming, tug-o-war, more chase. They will all sleep for days.

Last Summer Getaway!

We got up to the lake one last time before summer officially ends. The weather was beautiful and the company was delightful. I already am dreaming of next summer and all the weekend getaways...

Big girl Olivia has been testing out her high chair and is ready to start eating some real food. We are going to give some yummy rice cereal a try over the weekend.

Pigs in the Mouth

Olivia has been working on it for the past few days, but now she officially can put her foot into her mouth! Congrats baby girl! We think you are a genuis!

Chubby Cheeks

Although I still don't think my little Olivia looks much like me...her incredibly squeezable chubby cheeks do resemble my baby pictures...

Baby Buddies

Olivia is lucky enough to have tons of automatic friends already thanks to her parents. There are so many babies born to our friends within weeks and months of Olivia. She loves having playdates with all her buddies. It's funny to think that even though now a few months makes a huge difference..that eventually they will all catch up and even out!

Crazy Baby

This picture makes me think Olivia has the potential to be quite a character as she gets older. Her variety of silly faces are hysterical. I cannot wait to hear what she has to say once she starts talking!

The Dangers

When you choose to sleep like this...


Not only do you give your mom a heart attack all night long worrying that you can't breathe...but you end up looking like this...(the picture barely does the sleep marks justice!)

Heads Up!

Olivia's neck strength is pretty impressive these days. She pushes her entire self up all day long and loves to take in all that is around her. She rarely even allows herself to stay on her back because the view is just not as thrilling.

On the Verge

Liv has been practicing her sitting and is getting pretty close to being able to do it on her own. Such a big girl!

Reflection

Long and Lean

Olivia is continuing on the path of being tall, yet skinny. Weighing in at 13 pounds 6 ounces, she's in the 50th percentile. She's now 26 inches tall and that puts her in the 90th percentile. No matter what the percentile, we think she's just perfect.

Four Months Old!

Liv's Lake Tour Continues

Olivia has been hitting up lakes all this summer...Little Long Lake, Gull Lake, Lake Geneva...so it seems fitting that she spent a fabulous weekend at Lake Michigan. We headed up to Michigan City, IN to our friend Jonah's place. Spending the day at the beach was delightful and Liv loved every minute of the weekend.
