Hello God...It's Me, Olivia...

Yesterday our baby girl became the newest member of the Catholic Church. For her baptism, Olivia was surrounded by all the people who love her...grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The day was special for many reasons. Olivia wore the same beautiful baptism gown that her cousin Eleanor wore to her baptism (and Ellie happens to be my god daughter). Aren't the ribbons that hang from the back just precious?

We had Liv's name and birthdate embroidered onto the lining of the dress. Hopefully there will be more little girls in the future who wear this dress!

Olivia's godparents are already showering her with love. My brother Michael, fondly known as Uncle Bobo, is her godfather.

Sam's sister Alyce is her godmother who came all the way from DC (32 weeks pregnant)!

Father Ed Salmon, the same priest who married us and said my dad's funeral, lead the ceremony. He holds a special place in our hearts, so I loved that he was able to baptize Olivia Maeve.

Liv was perfect during the ceremony and didn't even cry when the water was poured over her head.

We had the same cake made from Bittersweet that we had at our wedding...yummy...cake with creme brulee filling and fresh raspberries with vanilla buttercream.

Overall, it was a perfect day for our newly formed family.
