We had a big day celebrating our sweet Olivia's 5th birthday. We started the day with breakfast at home and presents. She got a stuffed giraffe to match her girl cousins, Kit's dog Gracie, sight word Zingo, Ariel Legos and a pink boom box for her new room. Graham picked out a special Frozen Lego set for Liv which she promptly constructed almost entirely on her own.
Then it was off to the pet store to pick out her very own fish (and she was sweet enough to suggest that Graham get one too). Liv's fish is named Daffodil and Graham's fish is Pierce (also the name of our new next door neighbor). While the boys napped, Liv and I snuck away for some girl time to have a manicure and pedicure.
Then it was off to bowling and Mexican for dinner and were lucky enough to have Grandma and Pop-Pop join us.
Such a busy and fabulous day for our wonderful girl. Five suddenly seems so big. Olivia has always been independent, opinionated, and full of emotion, but something about turning five and heading off to kindergarten next year has me feeling extra sentimental. We're excited to see what this year holds for her as she continues to become the amazing little lady she is. Happy 5th birthday!
