Goodbye 70s Basement

When we bought the house, the basement seemed to have a weird story of it's own (which I don't think I want to know the details of.) The doors and bar were covered in weird yellow vinyl with the names, Toni, Frank and Al studded into them.
When we moved in, we dropped all the extra furniture and massive amounts of toys down there for the kids.  And the kids seriously love playing down there, especially now that it's cold. Yet this mama always felt like she was in an old weird cave.
So I convinced Sam to help me paint the playroom and he removed all the yellow vinyl. Five gallons of paint, super weird textured walls, help from Larry and a week later, we finally finished. It's still weird and filled with toys, but at least brighter and makes this mama slightly happier spending time down there.
Definitely a before/after improvement.
